privacy policy

nudistaudio.com, operated by Nudist Audio LLC, is committed to protecting your personal information and providing a secure online experience in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Information Collection

Our website automatically collects and stores information transmitted by your internet browser. This includes the IP address of the computer, and the date and time of the server request. This data is not linked to data from other sources and is used only for internal statistics and to prevent abuse (such as rate-limiting signups). We periodically delete this data from our server.

When an account is created, your email address and password are collected. We don't store the password in plain text. We won’t share your information with third parties unless it’s required for a chargeback dispute, or any other legal requirements with our payment processors (Stripe and PayPal).

When a purchase is made, your email address is collected for order processing. If you request an invoice, your name, billing address, and tax identification will also be collected if you choose to provide them.

Our desktop software (plugins and installers) connects to the internet to check for updates, validate your license, and collect minimal usage data to help us improve the software. The information collected includes: operating system name and version, plugin version, your country code, your system language, your CPU model, a hashed identifier for the machine, and the device's name as set in your operating system. On some systems, the device name may include your first name (for example, "Noah's MacBook Pro") — we store this so that you can recognize your own machines when viewing your activated devices in your account. We do not link this data to other information about you for marketing purposes, and you can request deletion of it at any time by contacting us.

When you sign up for the newsletter, your email address is collected. Depending on which signup form you use, it is either stored in our database or sent directly to Substack, which hosts our newsletter. Substack's privacy policy can be found here.

Where required by law, we rely on the following lawful bases for processing your personal data: contract (to fulfill purchases and provide account services), consent (for marketing emails and the newsletter), and legitimate interests (for security, fraud prevention, and improving the site and our products).

Information Usage

Account information is used for management and security purposes.

Your email address is utilized for order confirmation and communication related to purchases.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies. They fall into two categories:

Strictly necessary cookies. These are required for the site to function and cannot be turned off.

Analytics and other cookies. We use Google Ads conversion tracking and the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to understand how visitors arrive at the site. You can opt out of these by adjusting your browser settings, using an ad-blocker, or visiting the opt-out pages provided by Google and Meta. Substack also uses cookies for newsletter signups in their embed on our site.

Information Sharing

Necessary information may be shared with trusted third-party services for order fulfillment or website enhancement.

Information may be disclosed if required by law or to protect our rights.

Where Your Data is Stored

Your account information, orders, invoice details, and newsletter subscriptions are stored in a database hosted by Supabase. Payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal. Email is delivered by our transactional email provider, Resend. Analytics and advertising data is processed by Google and Meta. These providers may host or process data in the United States or other countries outside your country of residence.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with data-export restrictions, please be aware that using this site involves the transfer of your personal data to the United States and other countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home jurisdiction. We rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) where these are required by law.

Data Subject Rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

  • the right to access the personal data we hold about you;
  • the right to rectify inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • the right to erase your personal data ("right to be forgotten");
  • the right to restrict processing of your data;
  • the right to data portability — to receive your data in a structured, commonly used format;
  • the right to object to processing, including for direct marketing purposes;
  • the right to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent;
  • the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at caleb@nudistaudio.com. We will respond within the time limits set by applicable law.

California and Other U.S. State Privacy Rights

If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, or another U.S. state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law, you may have additional rights with respect to your personal information, including:

  • the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose about you;
  • the right to request deletion of your personal information;
  • the right to correct inaccurate personal information;
  • the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, including targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information for money, but our use of Google Ads and the Meta Pixel may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under some state laws;
  • the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at caleb@nudistaudio.com. You may also opt out of targeted advertising by enabling a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser, by adjusting browser cookie settings, or via the opt-out pages provided by Google and Meta.

Children's Privacy

Our site and products are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom). If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

Data Retention

Personal data is retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the outlined purposes.

Security

Industry-standard security measures are implemented to protect information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is entirely secure.
